When your body doesn’t get enough sleep, you body makes more stress hormones cortisol. As a result, high levels of cortisol can lead to inflammation of the body, such as acne and psoriasis. Sleep condition and skin condition can greatly improve when getting a good night’s rest. Here are some reasons how sleep can affect your skin:

  • Can cause certain skin conditions to flare up such a acne.
  • Aging quickly
  • Not enough sleep can contribute to weight gain
  • You’ll have poor water balance. This means puffy eyes, dark circles.

So be sure to set your arm and get at least 6-7 hours and don’t spend too much time on Netflix!
