Sleep Affecting Your Skin

When your body doesn’t get enough sleep, you body makes more stress hormones cortisol. As a result, high levels of cortisol can lead to inflammation of the body, such as acne and psoriasis. Sleep condition and skin condition can greatly improve when getting a good night’s rest. Here are some reasons how sleep can affect your skin:

  1. Can cause certain skin conditions to flare up such a acne.
  2. Aging quickly
  3. Not enough sleep can contribute to weight gain
  4. You’ll have poor water balance. This means puffy eyes, dark circles.

So be sure to set your arm and get at least 6-7 hours and don’t spend too much time on Netflix!
